Major fire breaks out in godown in Thane's Mumbra

Several godowns were gutted after a fire broke-out at Mumbra.Several godowns were gutted after a firebroke-out at Mumbra in Thane city.

The incident took place at Khan Compound near Shilphata at around 2:15 am.

A fire brigade team has rushed to the spot along with two fire engines and efforts are on to douse the fire.

According to initial information, six godowns were affected in the raging fire.

Along with the fire department, the Thane Municipal corporation's Disaster Management team, MSEDC officials and police personnel are at the spot.

The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. So far, there is no information on any casualties.
