Saraswati Vidyalaya High School and Junior College of Science, Rabodi has traversed a long distance, moving ahead with innovative ideas and a zest to leave its imprint on the academic field. Thye strice to bring our strong academic results without compromising on the student's co-curricular and sports activities. The school is proud of its outstanding result at HSC level and cent percent result and merit holders at SSC level.
In the year 1997, the Trustees started the Junior College of Science and are the pioneers in introducing bi-focal vocational course (Computer Science) in Thane.
The School has been administered under the able guidance of our administrator Mrs. M. S. Korde and Principal Mrs. Anita Pinto. The year 2006 witnessed the Silver Jubilee of the School.
Today the school has more than 3500 students on roll. It is well equipped with all modern infrastructure. The inauguration of the new branch of the school at Ghodbunder Road in 2008 is a matter of great pride for the Trustees, the Principal and all those connected with the school.
Over the last 35 years, the school has scaled one peak after another and achieved accolades in all spheres of development. With a rich array of achievements over the years, the school continues to march ahead with zeal and enthusiasm.
The School believes in overall development of the students which will enable them to blossom into enriched personalities. This will help them to contribute to the progress of our nation as well as the larger world community.
Aims & Objectives of the School

School Facilties:
LIBRARY
Being the pride of the school, the library is a home to a wide collection of books ranging from reference books to fiction, nonfiction, encyclopedias, periodicals, newspapers etc.
COMPUTER ROOM
The school boasts of a state of art air- conditioned computer room which enables the children to keep pace with the technological advancement of the world. There is a separate computer lab which caters to the need of vocational stream of the H.S.C. students.
LABORATORIES
To improve the scientific temper of the students, the school also has well maintained physics, chemistry and bio labs which are regularly updated, as and when required.
ART AND MUSIC ROOM
For the development of fine arts, the school has separate rooms for art and music.
AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM
Textbook learning is imprinted permanently in the minds of the children in the A.V. Room where extra information is given on every lesson in the form of documentaries, short films and clippings through a large screen overhead projector.
ACTIVITY ROOM
Each floor of the school is equipped with multipurpose activity room where children prepare their annual bulletins, hold house meetings and practise for various competitions etc.
CANTEEN
The school canteen serves nutritious food to the students and is the hub of the student community.

School Activities:
CULTURAL
Cultural activities are intricately woven into the fabric of the school calendar. A plethora of competitions, both solo & group are organized through the year. The inherent talents of students are given a platform and these activities indirectly help in character building, promoting values like co-operation, team spirit, self-confidence etc. The students are divided into five houses. A team of motivated House Masters provide the necessary thrust in bringing out the best of competitive spirit in the students.

Academics fine tunes students to pursue such goals. With this in mind the school has adopted the S.S.C. curriculum. A team of well-qualified and experienced teachers facilitates this process.
EXAMINATION POLICY
Students are evaluated as per norms laid down by Education Department of Maharashtra. Four Unit Tests and two Semesters are conducted during the academic year. Internal assessments are carried out as prescribed by the Education Department.

SPORTS

Sports plays a pivotal role in the school curriculum and has done wonders in placing the institution, as one of repute in the echelons of the sporting world.
Right from inception they have promoted & encouraged various sports at the national, state, zonal & district level. Prominent among them being gymnastics, volleyball, cricket, and karate. The sports stars the our school have done them proud by procuring medals at different levels.
