-
Start
first by removing the nail polish on your
finger nails with a nail polish remover
-
Then
trim your nails to the length you desire
and file them with a nail filer in one
direction --starting at the edges and
moving on the top. Nails can be filed
in any shape, however, a slightly round
shape is easier to maintain.

-
Follow
this up by soaking your hands in warm
soapy water for a few minutes.
-
After
the soak, clean your nails and cuticles
with a soft brush (an old toothbrush will
do) to get rid of dirt and dead skin.
-
Then
apply a dot of cuticle cream and rub in.
-
Using
an orange wood stick (available in drugstores)
push back your cuticles. Care however,
should be taken to avoid cutting your
cuticles as it may cause infection or
damage to the nail.
-
Next
massage your hands with a hand lotion
for extra moisture and then wipe nails
with a damp cloth to remove excess oil.
-
Then
apply a base coat and let it dry for a
minute.
-
On
the base coat apply two coats of your
favorite nail polish (in three strokes-one
on each side and one in the middle) and
remove the excess polish from your cuticles
with the help of orange stick.
-
Finish
off your manicure by applying a top coat
and avoid touching your tips for twenty
minut
