airs are the most prominent feature ona women's face. The hair style attracts more attention than any other parts. Fashion dictates easiest way to get a new look is to get a hair cut done. But one must not solely depend upon the market trend while getting their hair cut done.

Similar kind of hair cut give different effect on different people. For example cutting hairs short may produce sleek or tomboyish look. The shape of the face besides your personality act as a deciding factor on how your new hair cut will look. Hence before going for a hair cut, check the shape of the face and then decide. In short the right cut should always complement the face and features.

There are basically four main types of face shape : round, oval, long and square. Also take the type of your hair i.e curly, straight or somewhere in between into consideration before choosing the right cut.

Round Face

While most describe their faces as round, it is very rare to find a perfectly round face. Most often it is the hairstyle that makes the face appear round. In order to de-emphasise roundness, keep the hair off the face. This exposes the cheekbones, jaw and eyes.

Wear the hair either long or short, but increase the volume on top of the head. For this try using a round brush and blow-drying the hair on a low speed to dry slowly. Blow-drying with the head upside down is also a great way to create volume. Increasing the volume of head gives longer and slimmer effect to the face.

Oval Face

It is blessing to have an oval face for many styles can work on this kind of face. Cut either short or long, but keep the hair at same length.

Avoid increasing layers on the head especially those with small faces as it gives a poppet kind of look.

Long, wispy bangs are generally very flattering to some one with oval faces.

Long Face

Bob is strictly no-no to one with a long face. A short, blunt cut accentuates the length of your face. Avoid short bangs and volume on top. Instead, create volume on the sides.

The best way to achieve this is by blow-drying on a low speed with a round brush or use large Velcro rollers around your face. Try keeping the hair off your face as much as possible. This will make the face appear fuller.

Square Face

For those with square face, short hairs are not recommended. Long hairs flowing on the back looks good. Allow few bangs, but they should be soft and wispy and not straight across.

To give the illusion of a rounder face, create volume on the top and the sides. To achieve this blow-dry the hairs upside down, always on a low speed.
