Effects of Colours:-
In general warm colours such as red, Yellow and
orange advance making figure seen larger. Cool colour
such as blue, green violets gives a slimming effect.
Bright colours ( Primary and secondary colors) always
make a figure appear larger than the same one.
Prints:- A small
print or a large figure or a small one creates a great
contrast. A flaid ( checks ) may have various effect
on a figure depending on its space, division and colour
contrast. In general wider the spaces between vertical

should select woollen for winter and cotton for summer.

punchased because all prints and fabric do not suit
every one. eg. horizontal stripes or checks make a
person look shorter while vertical stripes make look
taller.

Surface
design is an important factor in the production of
pleasing fabric.
1) Printing:-
Which is the application of dyes the surface of the
cloth usually insective areas it is the most important
and cheapest mean of obtaning surface design.
2) Block Printing:-
It is one of the oldest, slowest and simplest form
of printing in this method design is carred on wooden
block than this block is soaked in colour and them
it is used for printing.
3)Screen Printing:-
In this the printing is done with screen and very
few colour can be used minute work is not possible
in this case.
4) Roller Printing
:-It is very fast and simple method it is usually
adopted in mills. Each roller is supplied with its
own roller with feed roller with feed roller. Accuracy
is the most important.
For eg. It is like a ragoli which is doneby bamboo
role .
5) Batik :-It
is also known as resist drying. It is famous in Indonesia
and are one of the village of Tamil Nadu. It is done
by applying bees ware on both the side of material
and then it is dyed in cold colours.
