Mr. Ajeet Khurana,
Founder of KITS

Something about him .....
" Just do it ", the NIKE punchline is the credo of the young entrepreneur, Mr. Ajeet Singh Khurana, Founder of KITS. KITS is one of the premier coaching services for the MBA entrance exams. He founded KITS with the objective of providing students with quality counseling and coaching for these exams.

Ajeet Khurana himself is an MBA in Information Systems and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is an all out supporter for entrepreneurship. His philosophy is that the entrepreneur himself is the limiting factor and an entrepreneur can grow as much as he thinks he can. He cites having a vision, imagination and clarity of thought are the most important assets which an entrepreneur must possess in order to succeed. Also Mr.Ajeet Khurana admits having a penchant for risk taking which also influenced his becoming an entrepreneur.

Something about KITS .....
Today, Mr.Ajeet Khurana's business has come a long way since it has started and is growing at a fast pace. He himself chalks out three phases of business that the business has undergone so far. The first phase was acquiring reputation as well as recognition among the target customers-the student community.

The second stage was the stage at which the business expands to such an extent that the entrepreneur has to build a team around him and delegate responsibility. This, feels Mr.Ajeet Khurana , is the most critical phase for the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur has to ensure that the right people are there to take over and at the same time the quality of service is maintained.

KITS has come out successfully from this phase and is now at the third phase where it is witnessing a spread in its geographical reach by branching out to other cities.

How to Succeed in this field ......
Mr.Ajeet Khurana feels that for any entrepreneur to succeed s/he has to ensure that the values of the organisation are transmitted across to the employees properly and standards are met. Says Mr.Ajeet Khurana, " Quality is the only criteria for long time success".

But measuring quality can be tough. So he says that it is important that the organisation's value and culture has to be quality oriented. The leader must take care to see that a quality driven environment is created wherein employees can strive towards quality. He goes one step further to add that not only must quality be maintained, but employees must strive towards continuously improving it.

Received the training from ......
Mr.Ajeet Khurana gives full credit to the training he has received from his B-School. Says he, "None of what I did would have been possible without a B-School education". The biggest thing that a B-School training provides is clarity of thinking and clarity in our approach towards problems. Mr.Ajeet Khurana adds, " B-School training shapes an attitude towards business". He also appreciates the education he has received from his B-School which he says has given him a thorough grounding in all aspects of business.

Future of aspiring enterpreneurs ....
He sees a bright future for entrepreneurs in the times to come. He opines that our attitude towards risk is changing. There is an appetite for risk among the younger generation. This has also received a shot in the arm due to the fact that the older generation is able to accept risk taking today. He sees a lot of B-School graduates in this new generation of entrepreneurs.

His message .....
Finally, he has a piece of advice to offer to those who want to become an entrepreneur. He says that, " One should directly plunge ahead and get into whatever one wants to do. There is no such thing called as a right time. One should firmly believe in what one does and should not be swayed by what other say. Follow your gut".
