Since when are you associated with Jidnyasa?
Jidnyasa as an organisation was formed in the year 1991. It was my brain child, and I am associated with it since then.

What is Jidnyasa all about & How it came into existence?
Jidnyasa is a curiosity. Curiosity for all sorts of new experiences. For us apart from this, it stands for 'Jiddh' (determination), 'Gyan' (knowledge) and 'Sahas' (adventure). Jidnyasa is a organisation for the students, which encourage and develop the spirit of determination, knowledge and adventure among the students.

What are the main activities done by Jidnyasa?
The main activites done by Jidnyasa are:

Shadaya Jidnyasa : a magazine by the students, for the students, of the students. This unique peridocical is published by Jidnyasa.

Sunday Military School : From the last Sunday of June to the last Sunday of Feb., every Sunday morning between 7.00 am to 1.00 pm we conduct Saniki Camp for the students between the age of 11 to 14 under the guidance of Maj (Ret.) Subhash Gawand. This course offers the students the glimpses of Army life, Hardcore displine, Parade, Airgun shooting, Mountaineeing, Selfdefence and also the mental ability.

Jidnyasa Science Forum.To satisfy the student's quench for curiosity, Jidnyasa encourages the students to raise questions and helps them to find out solutions for themselves. Jidnyasa is a member of NCSTC network and Visanprasar. Jidnyasa regularly organises informal science meets and the interaction between young scientists and senior scientists. This activity is basically promoted to develop scientific attitude in the students.


Adventure Camps & Trekking in Sahayadri and Himalayas : Jidnyasa is affiliated to the Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports, Manali. In the Diwali, Winter and Summer vacations, Jidnyasa regularly organises adventure camps in Shahayadri and Himalayas for different age groups. In Diwali vacation a trek to Forts is a must. In rainy season, there are couple of monsoon treks to enjoy the rain and the nature.

What has been the major achievement of Jidnyasa?
Our science project students has got recognised to national level. Our Military training camp has already found NDA.
Our project on 'Ganpati idol immersion' was selected for National Science Congress. Every year only 5 projects from all over India get selected for Science Congress.
