Q. Tell us something about Yourself?
A. Twenty-eight years back started as qualified commercial artist to become a graphic designer, by profession with an interest in research, education, and childlike inquisitiveness in all the 'nava rasa' of like. Firm believer in the holistic approach and ready to share social commitment within defined capacity. My father was painter and art educationist, mother gifted classical singer and fine soul, and wife is a graphic design Sr. faculty with famous art institute and only son budding qualified graphic designer. Encircled by beautiful art and literature friend circle. I love retrospection & Introspection to grow further.

Q. Since how many years you are in the field of Fine Arts?
A. The term fine arts must be properly defined in my context.
As I have mentioned in first question that commercial or graphic designer cannot be called fine artist though he learns at the initial stages but he is in the visual communication profession where just artistic expression does not work like fine artist painter.

Q. Being a consultant you have been associated with which all institute?
A. Sir. J.J Institute of Applied Art, Sir J.J College of Architecture, government institute if Printing Technology, Times Institute of Print Management, Thane School of Art, Nirmala Niketan, Sophia College of Arts etc. Raheja School of Arts, Bandra. At present with Wigan & Leigh College U. K and Cambrain College of Canada as Sr. Faculty.

Q. What are the career prospects in this field?
A. To become somebody in this field minimum 10 or 10+2 and Diploma in commercial graphic or B.F. A is required qualification.
Web Designer, Multi Media Designer, Graphic Designer, Art Director, Layout Artist, Calligrapher Package Designer, Type and Typographer, Publicity Director, Architectural Illustrator, Photographer, Police Artist, Art teacher, Art Historian, Art Lecturer, Set Designer, Background Artist, special Effects Artist, Exhibition and display Designer, Cartoonist, Animator, Costume Designer, Corporate Designer, Owner of Advertising firm or Agency.

Q. Any Special qualities required to make career in this field according to you?
A. - Managing & Developing self, working with others, communicating skill, sense of applying and design creativity.
- Strong in hand skills, (Drawing & Visual Perception), Dynamic in approach, Research and development attitude.

Q. What is your contribution in this field?
A. Some of my contributions in this field are:
- Prepared & Presented Actual Specimens on the Subject "Calligraphy" Invited By Directorate Of Arts (M.S for Revised syllabus of foundation Course - 1977)
- Assistant Lecturer in Sir J.J Institute of applied Art for 4 years -1973 - 1977
- Special Lecture on Color & Visual Communication for V.J.T.I 's Audio -Visual Workshop 1985
- Visiting Lecturer for the subject "Printer's Design" in Government Institute of Printing technology since 1986.
- Designed 10 months course in Computer Aided Visual Art started by Thane School of Arts and Multi Media Services. - 1998
- On panel of Inspection of Directorate of Art to Inspect The Art Institute's progress, M.S 1995 (Foundation Course)
... and the list is endless...

Q. What have been your achievements in this field?
A. My contribution to this field itself is my achievement.

Q. Any Message for your fellow Thaneites?
A. Think & Act big with the global approach without forgetting our roots in this soil. Break the conservative mindset. "Transparency" in approach is the key factor of tomorrow's lifestyle. Somebody said knowledge is power but imagination is more than this to move further.
Honesty always gives peace of mind.
