Q 1. Tell us something about yourself? How did you join the acting line? ?
A. I joined this field in the year of 1944. There was a drama festival 'Natya Mahotsav' to celebrate the jublee year of 'Marathi Sahitya Sangha'. At that time I was first introduced on stageat the tender age of 6-7 yrs of old. Later on I started working with Mama Pendse, Durgabai Khote, Keshavrao Date in dramas.

Q 2. Who was your inspiration in acting?
A. I was inspired very much by Dilip Kumar.

Q 3. Tell us a little about your hobbies?
A. I love music, Sitarvadan. In my childhood when we were in Girgaon, I attended almost all the shows of great artist especially of Pandit Ravishankarji. I have also learnt sitar.

Q 4. Tell us something about your career?
A.I did nearly about 200 films including Hindi & Marathi. In 1970 I did 1st marathi film 'ASHYA ASAVYA SUNA'. Some famous films are Tejaab, Pratighat, Ankush with Nana Patekar. In 1972 when Door Darshan came my first serial was 'Lal Gulabachi goshta'. I acted nearly in 125 dramas. On radio for 25 years Ramayana with Pandit Vinod Sharma and Mahabharat.

Q 5. Any message to the people of Thane?
A. Due to the busy schedule of today's people's life there is no time for anybody to dedicate to any type of hobby. I would like to tell the people to dedicate some time to different hobbies like reading, singing or any other activity that will give them a break from their daily routine and also give them peace of mind.

Q 6. How much satisfied you are?
A. I am 100% satisfied with my work.

Q 7. Any message to the people of Thane?
A. One should be honest to his work and should hard work.
