Mrs.
Uma Mahesh Amrute
Owner of Amrute Classes.
Q.Tell
us something about yourself ?
A. Neatness, quality of work and speed are
essential ingredients of my life whether I am teaching
at home or class. I have always been there for the
needy students by giving extra tips and help to tart
their very own business My hobbies also include reading
Books, Marathi Plays collecting Ganesh Idols, traveling
and gardening.
Q. Since when
have you been inthis field?
A. I am in this field for the past 25 years,
and am very satisfied with my classes as
now daughter and daughter-in-laws of my students are
coming for my classes.
Q.
How did the idea come into your mind to accept Cooking
as a profession?
A. It was not a planned thing, some of my close
friends just asked me to teach them some of my recipes
since I made tasty dishes and they only came up with
the idea of teaching others in the form of classes.
Q.
Could you tell us something about
Amrute Cooking Classes?
A. Amrute Cooking Classes is one of the finest
cooking class where a new bride learns, not only cooking
but etiquette, thrift and generosity as well. Just
as a mother grooms her daughter.
Q. Tell us something
about the book written by you?
A. We plan to give Thaneites exclusive products
such as MP3 Compatible, Wireless Equipments such as
Internet, Sattelite Radios and DTH (Direct To Home
T.V. Programes). Products that really make life easy
and are economical.
Q.
What are your future plans?
A.
Now at present I am working on a book " Dyavadnya
Pak Kruti". And also individual books on Chinese,
Baking and Bengali Sweets. She wishes that in the
future her elder daughter-in-law should conitue with
her cooking class who is very much interested in cooking
and is likely to come up with classes which includes
soups, starters, cocktails, mocktals, desserts and
salad Decoration.
I
also wish that my younger daughter-in-law also fair
well in her Glass painting, candle making, clay modeling,
paper sculpture etc.
Q.
What advice would you offer to a new comer who wants
to enter into this field?
A. The
first and foremost important tip is do not hold back
any tips about you're recipes and keep wastage to
minimum. To teach the students to use the common ingredients,
which are not too expensive or are easily available
at home rather than buy expensive stuff and use very
little. Keep a smiling face irrespective of any strain
or problems at home. Charge reasonable fees sot at
your classes are available to a common man. Be neatly
dressed and approachable.
Q.
8. Any message to the Thaneites?
A. My
main grudge against Thaneites is that though a lot
of beautification has been done here and there but
they are less rather not concerned about the authorities
to issue food vendors and would like to request the
concerned authorities to issue food license and ensure
only clean and hygiene food is on sale for Thaneites.
The
future of the coming generation kids is in the hands
of their parents and they should bless them with love
for the country, good habits, and moral values and
make them environmentally aware.
