1. Tell us something about yourself?
A.
An Engineer and an MBA, I worked in the field of Communications
before entering the NGO world with the launch of IndianNGOs.com.
2. Tell us something about Indian NGO's. com?
A. IndianNGOs.com is the most comprehensive
site on the social and developmental issues in India
By March Twenty O Three ( 2003 ) we plan to build
a network of 200 Corporates / Funding Agencies, 2000
Corporate Managers, 100 People with Power to Give
(NRIs / High Net worth Individuals ) , 500 NGOs, 500
NGO Professionals / Academician and 50 individuals
and institutions in Media. This will help us to reach
out to various underprivileged communities
.
3. How do you arrange for the funds at a time of
emergency?
A. We have not started raising funds for
the NGOs as yet. But by Feb 15, 2002, we will be promoting
various NGO Proposal for this specific purpose.

During the earthquake, which badly shook India, what
was your contribution towards it?
A.
We worked with the American India Foundation in identifying
the issues and NGOs and are still continuing the same.
We were perhaps the only site which had as many as
5000 links related to this issue for the first six
months time giving information about the contribution
of the Govt, NGOs, Funding Agencies, People, Media

How is IndianNGOs helping the people of Thane?
A. We have not really concentrated on Thane and would
not look at Thaneweb to take these issues along with
us.

Apart from monetary help how can an ordinary man help?
A.
We help communities with our consultancy on social
and developmental issues. These will be Knowledge
and Programme Consultancies in the sector.
7. What are your future plans?
A.
Future plans are to work on the plan spelt out for
Twenty O Three and see that implementation and focus
take priority.
8. Any message to the Thaneites?
A.
Volunteer. That is not only your way to Give Back
to Society but is fun and it gives you terrific satisfaction.
