1. Tell us something about yourself?
A.
Thanevaibhav was started on 25 August 1975, by late
Narendra Ballal. I am associated as Ex. Editor from
19983 to 1995. Since then I am the editor of this
newspaper I have been concentrating on local news
& events, Making it a Platform for socio cultural
activities, sports activities, Advocating public participation
in civic work .
2. What all steps are you taking to give better
quality to your profession ?
A.We cater to the needs of local citizens;
we also write editorials of issues, which are of local
importance, which are mainly neglected by the regional
press. We avoid the one sided criticism giving due
weight age to other sides by publishing columns and
also cater to the needs of the cross-section of the
society, color printing etc .

You have started a new channel
Thane Vaibhav tell is something about it?
A. Infact we had pioneered cable news
way back in 95. But due to the death of Mr. Narendra
Yashwant. Ballal, we had to contact Thane Vaibhav.
Apart from covering the news we also cover features
on youth, women, poverty, industrialist, Thane cosmopolitan.
We have English news, everyday- Interactive In camera
where citizen can voice in front of the camera.

What steps do you take to cover the news on the spot?
A.
The steps taken by use are: We send the reporter along
with our photographer, and our cameraman, they then
contact the concerned authority for official versions,
talk to eyewitnesses, describe the overall scenario,
and try to give realistic pictures
5.
What is your future plans ?
A. To add pages to Thane Vaibhav including color pages,
Try to reach our readers, create an identify of local
newspaper and to improve the administration.
6.
How can a normal person contribute to Thane Vaibhav?
A.
We have letter columns, also appreciate articles on
current topic Local newspapers act as catalyst between
Government machinery& Public. They are (paper
or media) then accessible & focused on local issue
hence the action is expected.
