Time for Yourself |

Sorry!
I cant! I just don't have the time!
Are
you feeling completely tied down? To work,
to children, to husband, to boss? You just
can't seem to find the time to breathe.
Need a facial but it takes 1 whole hour?
Where will you fit it? Your wardrobes in
a complete mess. It's bothering you that
you can't find your clothes when you want
them, but still WHERE'S THE TIME?
You
need to do some serious overhauling of your
time. Sit down and analyze why is your time
flying? There are 24 hours in a day and
believe me you can juice out every single
minute and finish whatever it is that you
have to do. TAKE TIME OUT FOR YOURSELF.
That's what's important.

Quality Time |
| If
you are a morning person and wake up with
plenty of energy, here are some exciting ways
to make quality time for yourself before you
go to work. Just take a look!
Be sure to spend the first sixty minutes
of you r
day doing exactly what you want to do-read
the paper, meditate, or just relax! You'll
find that you'll start the day off with
a more positive attitude and the rest of
your day will go much smoother.
Be at your best by getting out your calendar
at the beginning of each week and scheduling
extra quality time for yourself. Look ahead
to see if you have any stressful meetings
during the following week and plan to take
a little break before these busy times.
This way you will be well rested and be
able to perform at your best. Be sure to
schedule a break afterwards, too, so that
you are clear and alert for the next meeting
on your agenda.

For those of you who wake up every morning
and face the joys and challenges of parenthood,
you are all too familiar with how much time
it takes to drive your children to school
in the morning. Both you and your children
could better spend this time by making a
simple carpool agreement with other parents
in your neighborhood who have children that
go to the same school. By agreeing with
other safe-minded parents who you know and
trust to take turns driving the kids to
school, you will have the pleasure of having
a little more peace and quiet, and your
kids will have the pleasure of visiting
with their friends on the way to school.

| Afternoon
Quality Time |
| Everyone
has to eat! Right? But how many of us actually
take the time to sit down and eat a meal in
the middle of the day? Many of us tend to
take a "working lunch" by eating
at our desks or eating on the run. Meanwhile,
our minds and bodies don't get the chance
to recuperate before facing the rest of the
workday. So, the next time you're tempted
to take a "working lunch" grab a
coworker you like or call a friend and go
somewhere special for lunch (it doesn't have
to be expensive). You'll enjoy the quality
time together and you'll be more energized
when you return to your work.
Don't forget to breathe! The next time you're
at work and you need a quick break, go in
your office or find a quiet place (even
the bathroom!). You'll be amazed at how
five minutes of quality time like this can
help to reduce your heart rate, lower your
blood pressure, and help you feel more relaxed!
Keep in mind that you do not have to do
everything yourself all of the time. Delegate
whenever possible.
Nobody knows you and your schedule better
than you! So, brainstorm for your own ways
of making quality time for yourself. Think
about all of the different ways you can
manage your time better, become more organized,
and spend more time doing the things you
enjoy. Be as creative as possible.

| Evening
Quality Time |
| When
you get home from work in the evening, lock
the door behind you, close the drapes, take
the phone off the hook, and pretend that no
one is home. Don't answer the door or even
check your e-mail. Completely enjoy the quality
time that you have just made for yourself.
The same technique works if you do not live
alone, too. Simply let everyone in the house
know that you do not wish to be disturbed.
Then go into your room and close the door
behind you!
Most of us would never be able to spend
quality time alone without baby-sitters.
The next time you want an evening to yourself
or with a loved one, send the kids to a
baby-sitter's house for a few hours. It's
good to keep in mind that kids need a break
from their parents just as much as parents
occasionally need a break from their kids.
You'll both benefit from the time you spend
apart.
Now,
if after reading all these tips you still
haven't managed to take a break, here are
some parting words of advice: Stay up an
extra hour later than usual and do absolutely
nothing except whatever it is you wanted
to do but didn't make the time to do earlier
in the day. Be sure that it is something
fun and not work-related!
