This prominent structure spaces out on an area of 1343 sq. meters. TKB is nestled in lush green pentagon of the key areas of Kapurbavdi junction, Ghodbandar Road, Balkum, Dhokali and Kolshet. TKB stimulates environment for art talents and quality programs in Thane city. The venue promises a 360 degree experience in art, culture & heritage all situated in the most modern setting.  To the right of the entrance lies the first gallery of TKB. 'Ulhas' amiably beckons you towards an exhibit dedicated to the grand city of Thane. It unfolds before you the historical, geographical & culture facts of the charming city.The panels have a enticing blend of art & information. Like a flowing river this gallery composites pictorial journey of its historic culture to its look today. In this museum one can enjoy this colorful voyage of its cultural charm everyday.
 Welcome to the world of colors emotions & the spirit of creation. The mighty lakes Tansa, Bhatsa & Vaitarna are few from the list of many lakes that are spread across the district. The galleries are named after them. These galleries are dedicated to show-casing the fine art creations of upcoming as well as renowned artists.
Like a bloom flower there are three exhibition halls the 'Tansa', 'Vaitarna' & 'Bhatsa', with central overlooking has ample space for 25 to 30 art pieces exhibit. Use of natural light & adds to the beauty of the symphony of three galleries which have a glorious blend of natural & centrally controlled music.

On third floor there is second conference hall 'UPVAN'. This circular hall is a State-Of_Art auditorium that will pay host to presentations and conferences. 
An art encounter to credit itself as a 360 degree experience has to have a chance to study the master in depth. For the same TKB has one public reference art library on the 2nd floor. Its strength lies in the range of reference books on every aspect of art and culture. One can sit, relax and rejoice the art experience there.
TKB also accommodates two spherical conference halls. 'MASUNDA' an open workshop hall on second floor is set up for different programs to ensure that it will always serve as a place where visual and performing art is nurtured and presented free of charge to the public. There is also an art supplies shop where one can buy necessary equipments & books.
