The
Indian Library is a unique organization dedicated to
students wanting to study. It is a Self Study Centre
with Reference books on all major educational facilities
available in India. Indian Library provides a unique
opportunity to students to be in contact with the latest
developments in education in India.
In
a growing city like Thane, some students do find it
very much difficult to study at home, and also due to
lack of books to refer. The Indian Library came up with
an noble idea of providing an study place with facilities
that makes up an environment for studying. It was started
on 6th September of 1999, has was highly appreciated
leading newspapers like Times of India, Loksatta, and
many others, but above all the students. Its an Non-Commercial
organization promoted by Devaa Shirts, a business firm.
Within a short span of its start, now it has above 4500
members enrolled, which access the facilities provided
by the Library.
It
was meant to cater the needs of students of Thane City,
but now has members from Andheri, Ghatkopar, Dombivili,
Ambernath and more suburbs. The Indian Library has now
students from
fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Medical,
Management, CA, Govt. Services, and many others. More
than being just an study place, it's a place where students
from different fields, faculties, professions come together
and interact with each other.
Organizations
in positions of Excellence grow with time. The ideas
and ideals on which institute are build, evolve and
change with National Aspirations, Perspectives and Trends
worldwide;
Reading
Hall
A total of 6 reading halls have been provided for the
members of Indian Library spanning over an area of 4500
square feet. The sitting capacity of the Library has
been not increased to 600 members at a time. The reading
halls are now made sound proof, with double glass windows.
A comfortable, quite and cozy atmosphere helps members
to put in long hours of studying.
Reference
Books
It offers you the opportunity to refer books
in various field under one roof. The organization has
also taken care of the books with latest titles and
authors.
Students
can also order for a reference book, if it is not available
in the Library. Daily 25 - 30 new books are added to
the Library.

Books are available in the courses of Arts/ Commerce/
Govt. Services/ Management/ Medical/ CA/ ICWA/ CS/ Science/
Engineering/ Law/ Computing and other exhaustive list
of courses.

is not a circulating library. Students are not allowed
to take the books at home.
Day
and Night Facility
The Library premises are open to its members for 24
hours and 365 days a year round the clock.
Environment
The environment at Indian Library is highly conductive
for building of solid foundation of
knowledge and creating atmosphere of studying which
helps the students in maintaining a competitive and
helpful edge over others.
Admission
Requirement
Students with minimum qualification of Xth Class (Appearing)
and above are eligible for admission to the Library.
Application
form and Brochure is available in the Office of the
Indian Library.
Application
form should be filled and attached with two color photographs
and one proof of residence.
An
Indian Library Identity Card will be issued to the student.
Student should carry the I-Card while entering the Library;
in its absence the permission to the Library will be
denied.

Expansion
Of Library
Indian Library has now expanded and its premises over
the entire floor with a total area of 6000 square feet.
With this expansion now the library has a sitting capacity
of 600 members at a time.

at a time. The reading halls are now made sound proof
with double glass windows, which helps to maintain
extreme silence in the library.

With the needs and demand of the members, the library
has also increased the number of books for almost
every field. Daily 25 - 30 new books are added to
its collection.

Canteen
Canteen has been shifted to the end of the library,
and made more spacious. It can now accommodate 30
members comfortably. Cold drinks are now served in
canteen, and other food for eating will soon be arranged.
