Childhood is divided into 3 parts:

• What a Child Likes to do;
• What a Child does not like to do;
• What a Child has to do;

A Child usually
Likes to: Sing, Dance, Play, Swim, Shout, Jump....
Does Not Like to: Study, Write, Sit in one place, Eat Nutritious food, have Table manners
But every child has to: Learn ABCD, Count Numbers, Write, Draw, Behave himself/herself...

That is exactly what is done at SPRINGDALE NURSERY - we teach by PLAYWAY method.

Shri L.V. Vasavda through his own example was convinced that just bookish knowledge is not enough. To survive and to be successful in life there has to be an overall personality development. He had a vision of a school which provided a platform to each child, in each field, be it STUDIES, SPORTS, SINGING, PUBLIC SPEAKING, so that each child when he or she leaves school the child is bold, has the Mental Readiness, Maturity to take the Challanges of Adult life "HEAD ON". A child the school can be proud of the country can be proud of.

And the first step towards this goal is, SPRINGDALE NURSERY.

Imagine a school where children would be in the midst of the favourite cartoon characters. The activities that they would do would be so Full of Fun that it would be s place where A CHILD WOULD LOVE TO COME and from where A CHILD WOULD NOT LIKE TO GO.

Mrs Miratai Korde:

The Vision of Shri L.V. Vasavda took actual shape thanks to the painstaking efforts, perserverence of Smt Miratai Korde.

Mrs Miratai Korde believes that one has to Excel for teh Sake of Excellence. She is virtually like volcano, a Rich source from where the Rich LAVA of Ideas, Imagination get thrown up every working moment. Smt Korde is a Realist and so the Ideas are not just Ideas in the Air they are concrete and shape taking ideas. Ideas which take shape and then become Towers of Excellence and Brilliance.

She has the Drive and the Dedication and does not stop till her Goal is achieved. A Compassionate lady who compromises everywhere except when it comes to Quality and Professionalism.

Just like Shri Vasavda had his ideas about the school, Mrs Korde had a dream about a school for very little children which was so picturesque, so full of colours, so beautiful that it would be like a childs dreamland.

Behind the Success of every man there is a woman.

Behind the success fo Shri Vasavda was the Strength of his Better Half who was with him through the major Ups and Downs.The strength that was uptill now in the Background has now come to the Forefront. Smt PURNIMA VASAVDA the Director of SPRINGDALE NURSERY, the Aaji to the children of the Nursery has taken over the reins of managment firmly in her hands.

This nursery is spread over an entire area of approx. 2700 sq. ft on the first floor where a child can just let himself/herself "GO".

The entire place is planned this way:
1) Play Area: A play area with a firmly places 8 in 1 that allows children to Slide, Climb, Peep, Crawl, Open Close Doors, and Generally to have "FUN".

The 8 in 1 is made of Plastic so that injuries arising out of wooden and metal equipments are completely ruled out.

The place is full of 'RIDE ME HORSES & DRIVE ME CARS' so that all children can have their own toy at the same time.

2) Dining Area: Childhood and Messy eating go together. But not at SPRINGDALE NURSERY. We have a separate dining area. Can you imagine a DINING ROOM for children with a Dining Table and tiny DINING Chairs. Children of one class sit properly on table and chairs and eat like adults.

3) Class Rooms: We have three separate classrooms; THE RAIN ROOM, THE WINTER ROOM, THE ABC & 123 ROOM.
Each room has been painted according to a Theme.

The Rain Room: This room shows sights familiar to the Rainy Season. There is the Rain, the Cloud, Rainbow and the Puddle, the Frog, the Paper Boat, the Umbrella.

The Winter Room: This room has the SNOW, the CHRISTMAS, the DIWALI, the Sankranti, the Xmas Tree, the Santa painted all over the walls.

The ABC & 123 Room: This room has the entire ABCD and Numbers painted all over the room and charts of good habits and manners.

The Idea behind this is that just by sitting in these class rooms the child gets to know so much about his environment. We believe "A PICTURE SPEAKS MORE THAN WORDS".

4) Hall: This beautifully painted Hall is used as an auditorium. For every competition, every festival, every birthday the entire strength and staff gather together. This HALL has space enough to accomdate all at a time and yet have space enough to accomodate all at atime and yet have space for either the Birthday Cake or teh performance area. It is a sort of an auditorium in which all is done in an informal way.

5) Pantry: We have our own pantry from where the delicious aroma of fresh home cooked food tickles the apeitite of the young children every Friday and on every Birthday.

6) Separate Toilets: There are separate toilets for girls and boys.

We have 2 teachers fro every 35 children and 3 peons.

Field Trips: We take 4 field trips in and around Thane during School hours

Birthdays: Children are special and so is everything related to Childhood especially Birthdays.Every Birthday is celebrated grandly with Decoration, Cake, Happy birthday playing knives, to cut the cakes and musical candles to blow off, music, dance, mouthwatering snacks and a Birthday gift for the Birthday boy / girl all center provided by us.

Baby Pool: What can be more cute than tiny girls and boys in tiny swimming costume splashing around in their own private swimming pool. Well that's how it is every Friday. We have a sturdy plastic baby pool in which 6 children play at a time. Water is changed after every group.

Snacks: Swimming ! Splashing! Surfing! all this makes the children hungry. This hunger is satisfied with tastry delicacies prepared by our own cook in our own pantry. Snacks are provided every Friday and on every Birthday.

Sand Pit: Thane is a place far away from the Juhus and Chowpatty's of Mumbai. Well never mind. At SPRINGDALE NURSERY we get the sand and the beach of Juhu to the child. We have a sand pit where children play and build castles and palaces of sands.

Celebrating Festivals: At SPRINGDALE NURSERY, we introduce the FUTURE OF INDIA - folks festivals. We celebrate every festival. Children have activities where they prepare charts related to the festivals. And on the day they dress up in chaniya cholis, dholis or salwar kameez according to the festival. There is music played and the festival is celebrated with song, dance, colour, rites and rituals, snacks and prasad. Be it DIWALI, DASSERA, RAKSHA BANDHAN, CHRISTMAS or ID.

Sports Day: Since the premises are owned by the management itself, thebuilding compound becomes a sports area on the Annual Sports Day.

School Material: SPRINGDALE NURSERY, its class rooms, its activities have been put up after a lot of research and are very unique. The books, the activity material, school bag, uniform, is provided by us as only "We know what is BEST for the children, We know what we want"

Performance Report: Since SPRINGDALE NURSERY believes in overall development and realises that it is dealing with children. Our analysis is very realistic and basic. A very different type of PEFORMANCE REPORT is presented to the Parents every six months.

The fees is Rs 8000/- p.a. which can be paid yearly.
Termwise: 1st term Rs 4500/- 2nd Term Rs 3500/-

There are two groups A and B.
Group A: Aged 2 years to 3 years.
Group B: Aged 2 years to 2.5 years.

That means the child who has completed 2 years is eligible for Group B.

At SPRINGDALE NURSERY we belive that "The Range of a rader was never meant to just stand upon,
It was meant to hold just 1 foot long enough, to place the other foot on the Range above."

After the success of SPRINGDALE NURSERY we are now expanding ito a high school & Junor college.

Our first step being SPRINGDALE NURSERY we are expanding into a school we have already started junior KG classes.
