HAWA

Producer/s: Guddu Dhanoa, Santosh Dhanoa
Director: Guddu Dhanoa
Cast: Tabu
Music: Dilip Sen-Samer Sen

Lately Bollywood seems to be in quite a horror-film frenzy, following the enormous success of Vikram Bhatt’s Raaz and Ram Gopal Varma’s latest, Bhoot. The next film lined up to frighten audiences is Guddu Dhanoa's newest horror thriller, Hawa. This film surprisingly was completed in less than 40 days. In addition, Hawa stars Tabu in the lead role, promising to illustrate her immense talent once again in her first-ever role for a horror film.

The storyline of Hawa is itself unique and is sure to stir up the industry. The story depicts a divorced businesswoman (Tabu) who sells antiques in a small shop, living with her two children. The bulk of the storyline illustrates the transition of her life into something quite unusual, as a result to a sequence of bizarre circumstances. The film turns into a battle for survival after the family gets stranded in a deserted haunted house during a vacation as a ruthless evil force attempts to abuse Tabu.

Expectedly, Hawa is a songless film like most recent horror flicks. However, Dilip Sen and Samer Sen have recorded a song ('Main Hawa Hawa') in the voices of Sunidhi Chauhan and Shehzad. About this title song, director Guddu clarifies that, "the song will be used only for promotion purposes".

For the talented Tabu, this is her first film after being off-screen for quite a few months. Widely known for her realistic and practical roles, Tabu took a blind step into wilderness when signing for this film. About the near release of her first ever horror flick, she is excited and simultaneously nervous. "It`s the scariest movie you`ve ever seen," she declares. Hopefully, this film will allow Tabu to bag her third National Award for her mind-boggling performance that is sure to astound audiences.
