Ajnabee

Cast:

Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor , Bipasha Basu

Director: Abbas-Mustan
Producer: Vijay Galani

Directed by the Burmawala brothers - Abbas and Mustan, Ajnabee appears to be inspired from the Hollywood hit Consenting Adults. And although the desi version has got incorporated the necessary changes the main essence of the film remains the same.

The story revolves around two couples
Raj and Priya (Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor) and Vikky and Sonia(Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu) who happen to become good friends in the course of time. Together, they go out for drives, movies and many other such outings. And soon, Raj finds himself being attracted to Sonia, who in turns appears to share his feelings.

Although Raj and Sonia try to avoid each other, they are unable to hide it from Priya and Vikky. This but naturally leads to tension between the couples, leading to consequent fights. And then one night Sonia is found murdered. All heads turn towards Raj who claims to be innocent, and to his surprise finds that even his wife Priya finds it difficult to trust him.

Now, Vikky’s only aim in life, appears to be to avenge his wife’s death. On the other hand in order to prove his innocence Raj gives the cops the chase and tries, himself to find Sonia’s real killer.

The movie gradually unfolds to its logical conclusion.

This Abbas-Mustan flick promises to keep you guessing till the very end. Besides, Bipasha Basu the movie also introduces for the first time the idea of wife swapping in Indian cinema an idea none have dared to try before.
