"YAADEIN is all about being in love with your family.
Just by adding the element of friendship"

An ambience of love and completebliss. That is what Raj Singh Puri
(Ja
ckie Shroff) has in his contented middle class existence in London. A beautiful wife (Rati Agnihotri), and three wonderful daughters, Avantika
(Avni Vasa), Sania (Himani Rawat), and Isha (Kareena Kapoor). Added to this, is the complete loyalty of his best friend, L.K. Malhotra (Anang Desai), and his family, wife, Nalini (Supriya Karnik), and son, Rohit (Hrithik Roshan), who have never let their wealth come in way of the relationship that they share with the Puri family.

This is despite the fact that the elder patriarch of the Malhotra family, J.K. Malhotra (Amrish Puri), always contends that all emotions and relationships are driven by only one factor - money.

Rohit is especially close to his 'Raj uncle' and the three daughters of the Puri family, as they are the only friends that he has had in his affluent, yet lonely, young life. His relationship with his mother is a little strained for no particular reason, and the Puri family, especially his best friend, Isha, are his constant emotional refuge.

In this blissful, yet emotionally complicated, world of the Puris and the Malhotras (our quintessential India NRI families), there come the eternal twists of natural evolution of life. What happens subsequently reiterates every Indian's belief in the premiere institution of our social being, THE FAMILY.
Come what adversities that they may, an Indian family will always emerge stronger emotionally as our inherent values are too well embedded in our psyche.

"The child should be cuddled till the age of five; disciplined till the age of ten; after the sixteenth year, be treated as a friend."
