A
complicated love story, Prems (Salman
Khan) heart is broken when his love, Nisha (Raveena
Tandon), rejects him for a rich NRI. His siter, brother
in law and friends help him get over the doldrums. Meanwhile,
he falls in love with a friends cousin, Priya
(Rani Mukherji). But Priya believes in arranged marriages
and is soon engaged to someone else. She realises, though,
that her heart belongs to Prem. But it maybe too late
- Nisha is back in Prems life.
The
screenplay
is stretched to such an extent that it starts taxing
the patience of the viewer. Too much emphasis is given
to the scenes showing Jackie and Salman in a state of
intoxication, which was just not needed. The emotional
scenes look superficial and the romantic ones don't
impress either. Salman sudden interest in Rani looks
abrupt and should've been developed with fervour.
On
the whole, KAHIN PYAAR NA HO JAAYE stands on a weak
foundation
