The school made a modest beginning in 1978. A dream child of late Mrs. Rekha Kanitkar it has grown leaps and bounds, with the tireless efforts of like-minded teachers who shared the dream of 'Quality Education For All'.

The school is now a private, non - profit, co educational institute governed by an Administration body of trustees. The school is recognized by government of Maharashtra and follows the rules and regulation laid down by the Maharashtra Board of Primary and Secondary education with respect to the curriculum.

The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Primary and Secondary Education. Classes from Jr. K.G. to Std. X are taught preparing the students for secondary School Certificate Examination.

Pre - Primary:
Pre - Primary education is child - centered. Emphasis is laid on the child's interaction with his environment and development of physical, motor and language skills. Creative expression is given importance through various cultural and co - curricular activities.

Primary:
Learning is based on interactive sessions and activities. It is a combination of mass participation and individual performance. The learning process is supplemented by project work and co - curricular activities helping the students acquire better language skills and educational awareness.

Secondary school:
The focus is on independent learning and developing the right study habits. The school lays a great deal on emphasis on education through research, surveys and discussions so that the students may not only acquire in depth knowledge of the subject but are also able to analyze and conclude independently.

Special subjects taught include Music, Drawing, Craft, Social Service, Sanskrit (from Std. VII ) & Work Experience.

Performance evaluation is conducted on the basis of four examinations
from STD VI - X for classes from Jr. K.G. to V.

Promotion is made at the end of the academic year based on yearly performance by computing the average marks obtained at each exam.

 

Co-Curricular Activites                                                          Top

Sports:
Active participation in sports complements academics. It develops a healthy team spirit and fosters qualities essential to a harmonious and balanced individual. An annual sports meet is organized every year in December / January for the students from Jr.K.G. to Std X.

Annual Day:
The day to rejoice and celebrate as students present their every best to parents and guests. A prize distribution ceremony for achievement of students in the part academic guests. A prize distribution ceremony for achievement of students in the part academic year is also held at this time. Eminent personalities from the field of arts and education honor the function.

Newsmagazine:
The school proudly presents two newsmagazines namely Young Expression in association with Indian Express group and 'Bhagavati Weekly' a wall display magazine by students, parents and teachers.

Festivals:
National festivals of the Independence Day and the Republic Day are celebrated with great pride and joy every year. Students present a short actual programmed bringing out the patriotic feeling. The musical group is at its best and the partriotic songs bring a lot of cheer.
Festivals such as Janmashtami, Ganesh Pooja, Durga Pooja, Navratri and Raksha Bandhan are celebrated in the traditional form to inculcate Indian values and culture in our students.

Other competitions and projects:
Debates, Elocutions, Essay, Singing, Dance, writing competitions, Drawing and Greeting cards competitions are organized as scheduled with an overwhelming response from the students. Project work encompassing all subjects are prepared by students of all the classes every year the best of which are displayed in the Art, Craft exhibition.

Excursion and educational visit:
Excursion and educational visits are arranged from time o time to supplement classroom teaching, Environment conservation is given prime importance and field trips are organized to locations abundant with natural beauty.

 

 

Facilities                                                                                Top

Community Hall:
Located on the top floor of the school building, these spacious premises in the center of group activities. It has witnessed many competitions and workshops and has been some of the best talents of the school. The hall also has facility to organize slide shows.

Pre - Primary Section:
An activity room and play room is specially designed keeping in mind the requirements of the tiny tots. The Jr. and Sr. K.G. classes are divided in to 3 groups each and each group takes turn learning, playing and in creative activity. A teacher independently manages each group. In addition students are given an early exposure to music as well.

Science Laboratory:
Science cannot be perceived without experimentation. A well-equipped science laboratory provides ample opportunity to experiment and explore thus developing a scientific attitude.

Computer Laboratory:
The new millennium had witnessed changes in communication and technology. Information technology in rapidly growing in importance and will soon is the many backbone of much industry. To keep up the times the school provides computer education from the primary school. The computer laboratory has excellent facility. A comfortable, air Conditioned hall, it is equipped with the latest PIII computers with colour monitor, The computer student ratio is 1:2

Library:
The school provides a circulating library facility to students. It has as excellent collection of the books and encyclopedia. The use of books is open to students of standard I to X and children are encouraged to read the best of all the three languages (English, Hindi, Marathi)

 

 

Admissions & Withdrawals                                                    Top

Admissions:
The school aims to provide the quality education to all irrespective of caste, creed and economic background. Admissions to Jr. K.G. and Sr. K.G. Classes open in January. The school issues a detailed prospectus containing the admission form. A detailed notification is put up on the notice board of the school, well in advance in the general interest of those wishing to seek admission for their wards.

Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for admission to Jr. K.G. the child must have completed three and half years of age at the time of admission. The following documents must be submitted

- Birth Certificate in original issued by an authority competent of register births.
- Fitness certificate by a certified by a medical authority.

For security admission to other classes the students must submit the transfer certificate from the previous institute.

Note: The number of admission to Jr.K.G. classes is 60. The admission to any other class depends on vacancy from time to time.

Admission for the year 2002 - 2003 is now open.

Withdrawals:
In order to withdraw a student a notice must be submitted at least one week in advance (The Transfer Certificate is issued after ensuring that all the dues of the school have been cleared).

 

 

School Fees                                                                          Top

The school dues are payable for 12 months of a year that is form June to May next year.

Mode of payment:
The fee may be paid monthly, quarterly; half yearly of yearly payment only in cash is accepted. The Term fee and examination fee must be paid at the beginning of each term.

The fee structure is not permanent and may undergo revision it required at the discretion of the school authorities.
