  • FARM FRESH
    Freshness of sweet limes and oranges can be maintained for upto 15 days by wrapping them in brown paper bags.

    To increase the life of the ring of the pressure cooker, place it in the deep freezer after use. It will keep the rubber from cracking and wearing out.

  • INK FREE
    To remove ballpen ink stains from fabric, dab a few drops pf 'Dettol' on the affected area and scrub. Wash off with soap and water.

  • HONEY HINT
    To get rid of mouth blisters instantly, apply a mixture of 2-3 powdered cardamoms and a tsp of honey on them.

  • SHAMPOO SAVER
    Wash silk saris at home in shampoo. Unlike soap, shampoo helps them retain their shine and causes no damage.

    If your car wipers stop functioning in the monsoon, rub tobacco vigorously on the windscreen and splash two cups of water on the surface. Do not wip. Magically, the wipers will start functioning.
